Natchez

ImageThe name evokes sultry summer breezes in a place where time is slower. At Natchez, you will find a rich heritage of southern food. Located on 4th Street in downtown Little Rock, Natchez has taken the roots of Southern food and infused it with flavors that elevate the tastes we “grew up with” to mouth watering levels. Just listening to the server describe the offerings can make you salivate in anticipation.

Alexis Jones’ creative menu can meet your hunger at lunch or dinner. The chalkboard near the rear of the dining room details the menu (actually the chalkboard is the menu). Alexis offers a different menu every day with fresh ingredients sourced from locals. The result is fresh and healthy food. How can you go wrong with ham hock risotto? Bruno’s Little Italy

ImageBruno’s is back and they’ve taken a great spot on Main in the revitalized area of downtown (special thanks to Jimmy Moses and Rhett Tucker for staying the course on the downtown area!).

The food is Italian from the real folks and is every bit authentic. Try the tasty veal and chicken dishes. I could put the family red sauce on anything they have. We give a special nod to the pizza at Bruno’s — it may be the best in town. You will also find great traditional entrees. Try the tangy Caesar salad (we eat it quite often). Outdoor dining on the sidewalk will be fun in the warmer seasons. Great food, local tradition and wonderful ambiance. The wine selection is also very good. Overall a huge thumbs up!
